In a short time the kids playfully learn the basics of flamencodance: the beautiful movements of the arms, the proud bodyposture, the stamping and clapping. The kids intensely enjoy the energy and power in flamenco. Basic principles of dance are taught, such as use of space, directions, coördination. Also the interpretation and autonomy of the kids is stimulated, besides developing musical feeling. Through simple exercises they dare to express themselves. They are trained with several dances.

The kids of Pastora Flamenco were invited to perform in Paris in Palais de Congres, in de Hallen Amsterdam, in Paradiso, in Dansmakers, Feria de Amsterdam. 

Pastora loves to inspire the next generation to dance flamenco. She has been working with kids for over fifteen years and she is a certified teacher.

Mondays, 16.30-17.30 start 7 sept 2026, Cruquius Danshuis, Bottelarijstraat 289, Amsterdam

Classes are given in a new professional dancestudio, with great floor. No classes in schoolholidays.
